Have you ever heard of Teamsnap? We’ll they created and sold their company for $25M! Here’s the quick rundown on todays featured story:

In 2016, sports tech startup TeamSnap was founded by Dave DuPont, Ken McDonald, and Andrew Berkowitz. TeamSnap offered a mobile and web-based application that allowed sports teams and groups to manage their activities and schedules.

The platform quickly gained popularity among sports teams and organizations, and by 2020, it had over 23 million users worldwide. In October 2020, TeamSnap announced that it had been acquired by Waud Capital Partners, a private equity firm.

The acquisition deal was worth $25 million, with $5.5 million in venture capital funding from investors. TeamSnap's co-founder and CEO, Dave DuPont, expressed excitement about the acquisition, saying that it would allow the company to accelerate its growth and expand its reach.

Under Waud Capital Partners' ownership, TeamSnap plans to continue its focus on innovation and expansion, with a particular emphasis on improving its user experience and expanding into new markets.
